We're excited to announce Custom Signature Acknowledgements, a new feature designed to give you even more control over your inspection process. With a custom signature acknowledgement, you can adjust the language that appears next to the inspection signature on the RentCheck mobile app and completed inspection reports.

  • Have specific expectations or disclaimers you want to communicate?

  • Need to ensure compliance with specific state or local legal requirements?

Custom signature acknowledgements offer a flexible, tailor-made solution to keep you covered while ensuring clarity and accountability.

It's simple to get started:

  1. Go to Account > Inspection Messaging.

  2. Select the Signature Acknowledgement tab.

  3. Set up custom signature acknowledgement text for:

    1. All inspection templates across your account

    2. Individual custom inspection templates

  4. Add your custom text and save.

For a step-by-step guide, please check out our help article.

Sample #1: General Tenant Acknowledgement Clause

By signing, I confirm that I have completed this inspection and provided accurate information to the best of my knowledge. I understand that this submission does not represent a final determination or approval by the landlord or property manager. I acknowledge receipt of relevant inspection documentation, including disclosures regarding procedures and potential fee deductions, and I agree to adhere to the requirements outlined.

Sample #2: Resident Acknowledgement of PM-Completed Inspection

By signing below, the Resident acknowledges that the Move-In/Move-Out condition checklist has been completed by the property manager and reviewed with the Resident. The inspection took place within 30 days of move-in or move-out, and a signed copy will be provided to the Resident. The Resident confirms receipt and understanding of the inspection findings.

Sample #3: California Tenant‑Led Initial Inspection Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that I have been notified of my right under California Civil Code §1950.5(f) to request a pre‑move‑out initial inspection and to be present during that inspection. I understand the inspection will take place no earlier than two weeks before the end of my tenancy and that following the inspection, I will receive an itemized statement of proposed deductions. I may correct deficiencies identified to avoid charges from my security deposit.

Get started today and keep your inspections compliant and tailored.
