Downloading Units and Residents from Buildium

Steps to download unit and resident information from Buildium for import to RentCheck

To get started using RentCheck, it’s important to get your unit and resident information added.

If you’re on the Buildium Premium plan, you can connect Buildium directly to RentCheck to sync your units and residents automatically. See Buildium Sync Overview.

Let’s take a look at how to pull your list of units and residents from Buildium so it can be uploaded to RentCheck.

Download your Data from Buildium

  1. Within Buildium, select "Settings" on the left side of your screen.

2. Select “Export Data” from the drop-down menu and then select “Rentals”. Your unit portfolio will automatically download. Then select "Tenants". Your list of tenants will automatically download to your computer.

Upload your data to your RentCheck account

Once you’ve downloaded your files, upload them to RentCheck from Settings > Imports. Follow these guides for step-by-step instructions:

Upload your units first, since residents need a matching unit in RentCheck to import.
