Properties

Getting your units added to RentCheck is one of the most important steps of the RentCheck onboarding process. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get your properties uploaded so you can start setting up inspections

Let’s take a look at how to bulk upload your unit portfolio.

In our Desktop version, navigate to the Properties page, and select the “New Property” button. You’ll see an option for “Add New Unit” and “Upload units”

Select “Upload Units”

If you use one of the following property management systems, click below to get step-by-step instructions on how to download your unit file for upload to RentCheck:

Otherwise, you can use this upload template to get started. Required items are notated with an asterisk. Be sure to include the full unit address, the type of unit, and the number of beds and baths.

Once you have your file ready, select “Upload Units” and select your file for upload.

Residents

Let’s take a look at how to bulk upload your resident directory.

In our Desktop Web App, navigate to the Residents page, and select the “New Residents” button. You’ll see two options: “Add new resident” and “Upload residents”

Select “Upload new residents”

Use this upload template to get started. Required items are notated with an asterisk and be sure that addresses match exactly to the properties previously uploaded. Be sure to include the full property address, postal code, first and last name, and the resident's email. The resident's mobile phone number is not required, but is recommended. Including a mobile phone number as part of the resident's profile will allow for automated text message notifications to be sent when an inspection is requested.

Once you have your file ready, select “Upload residents” and select your file for upload.
