To get started using RentCheck, it’s important to get your unit and resident information added.

Units

Let’s take a look at how to pull your unit directory from PropertyWare so it can be uploaded to RentCheck.

  1. Navigate to “Reports” in the top menu on the right-hand side of your screen

2. On the left-hand side of the screen you will see Report Folders. Select “Unit Inventory” to start building your report.

3. Select “Unit Summary” to customize the report. From here, you will need to select the details that will allow you to quickly upload your units. Make sure the following items are checked:

  • Bathrooms

  • Bedrooms

  • Type

  • Unit Address

  • Unit City

  • Unit State

  • Unit Zip

4. Select “Lease Summary”, “Portfolio Summary”, and “Lease Reports” to ensure that no other fields are selected. These should be blank as seen below.

5. On the menu across the top of the report, select the “Export/Print” option. Select the MS Excel option from the dropdown menu.

Residents

Adding residents to RentCheck makes the inspection request process super easy. When requesting an inspection, the resident and their contact information auto-populates, so you're not left wondering who should receive the inspection.
