With the custom maintenance dropdown field, you can add your own field to the maintenance flag screen, right alongside the standard Skill, Responsibility, Photos, and Cost fields. When someone on your team flags something for maintenance on a completed inspection, this shows up as a dropdown with options you define, so you can track things like priority level, issue category, or an internal code that matches your own workflow.
Setting up your custom field
On the Maintenance Settings page, look for the card labeled "Custom maintenance dropdown field" and toggle it on. Then work through the following:
Name it. Give your field a short, clear label. Something your team will recognize right away, like "Priority" or "Issue Type".
Add an optional description. This appears as a small caption under the field, handy if the name alone will not be self-explanatory to everyone flagging maintenance.
Choose single or multiple selection. Decide whether your team can choose just one option or several at once.
Add your options. You need at least two, and there is no limit on how many you can add. These are the actual choices that will appear in the dropdown.
Decide if it should be required. Check the box if you want someone to be required to pick an option every time they flag for maintenance.
Choose which inspection templates it applies to. Apply it to all your inspection templates, or pick specific ones.
What your team will see
Once it is set up, anyone in your team flagging a completed inspection for maintenance will see your new custom field alongside the standard ones. It will only appear on inspections that use one of the templates you selected. If you marked it required, the flag cannot be submitted until an option is chosen.
Where this information shows up later
Whatever your team selects is saved with that maintenance flag, and you will see it again in two places:
Maintenance flag CSV exports. As its own column, named after your field.
Maintenance reports. Alongside the rest of the flag's details.
