Effective Due Date is a smarter way to find overdue and almost-due inspections. The Effective Due Date dynamically adjusts based on inspection status and actual deadlines. Here’s how it works:

  • Requested: Uses the original inspection due date (Scheduled, Not Started, Started, Awaiting Review, Approved, Completed)

  • In Review: Uses the review due date

  • Revision Requested: Uses the revision due date (Revision Requested and Revision Review)

This ensures you're seeing inspections that are actually almost due or overdue, not just based on the original inspection date.

Where you’ll see it:

You’ll find the Effective Due Date filter in:

  • Inspection List page (as a new filter)

  • On Inspections - on the mobile app and the web app

  • Dashboard, powering key stats and quick filters

  • Inspection CSV reports

💡Note: You’ll see the former due date filter as “Due Date (Legacy)”, which is still available for use. Filters cannot be used together.

Key Benefits

  • Surfaces the most time-sensitive actions first

  • Accurately find overdue inspections based on their current workflow stage

  • Follow up efficiently on overdue and almost due inspections that have reviews or revisions
