If a property or unit from Rent Manager isn’t appearing in RentCheck, follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Confirm Sync Settings in RentCheck

  1. Verify the correct property group or location is selected.

  2. Ensure the unit is marked Active in Rent Manager.

  3. If you make any changes, click Save and sync.

Note: Syncing can take up to 24 hours to reflect new or updated units in RentCheck.

Step 2: Check Unit and Resident Data in Rent Manager

Rent Manager Unit Information:

  • Ensure the unit is marked Active.

  • Verify the unit is assigned to the correct property group or location.

  • Confirm accurate bedroom and bathroom values are entered.

  • Confirm the unit is assigned to the correct location within Rent Manager.

  • Confirm the unit is shared with the RentCheck-PTR user. This can be verified under the "User Privileges" section in Rent Manager.

Rent Manager Resident Information:

  • Make sure each resident is assigned to the correct Unit.

  • Residents must have email addresses in Rent Manager to sync with RentCheck. Make sure this field is filled in whenever available.

  • Make sure the lease status is designated as "Primary" or "Secondary" in Rent Manager.

Note: If your property in RentCheck is not synced with Rent Manager, you will see a "Not Synced with Rent Manager" label in red on the property record.

Sync Frequency

RentCheck performs a daily sync with Rent Manager. Updates or new entries may take up to 24 hours to appear in RentCheck.

Important Notes About Manually Added Units

Units manually created in RentCheck are not connected to Rent Manager. Therefore, these units:

  • Will not receive updates from Rent Manager.

  • May result in duplicates or out-of-sync data.

To resolve this issue, delete the manual unit and allow the unit to sync from Rent Manager. Or, merge the manually created unit once the unit has properly synced from Rent Manager.
