If a property or unit from AppFolio isn’t appearing in RentCheck, check the following to help resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check the unit’s status in AppFolio
For a unit to sync successfully, ensure it meets the following criteria:
The unit is active (not hidden or archived)
The unit is assigned to both a Property Group and Property Type
The unit does not have a Management End Date or a Management End Date set in the future
Units that are hidden or have a past End Management Date will be excluded from your AppFolio sync and will not appear in your RentCheck account.
Step 2: Confirm required unit details
Each unit in AppFolio must include:
A valid street address
City, state, and ZIP code
Accurate number of bedrooms and bathrooms
Note: Units with 0 bedrooms or more than 10 bedrooms or bathrooms may fail to sync.
Step 3: Check if the unit was removed from a property group
If you're using the property group functionality in your RentCheck-AppFolio data sync settings, make sure the unit is assigned to one of the property groups currently enabled for the sync.
If a unit is removed from its property group in AppFolio, it will remain visible in RentCheck. After 7 days, the property record will include the message: “Not Synced with AppFolio.”
Once a unit is no longer syncing, you can remove it from RentCheck if it’s no longer needed.
Step 4: Check for previously deleted units
If a unit was manually deleted in RentCheck, it will not sync again automatically.
If you think a unit was deleted by mistake, reach out to us via chat support and we can help restore it.
