Documenting your home has never been easier. Whether you’re moving in, moving out, or just want to check your property’s condition, RentCheck makes it simple to get started.
It’s a simple two-step process:
1️⃣ Add your rental
2️⃣ Choose your inspection type — then start inspecting!
🪴Step 1: Add Your Rental
You can add your rental from your profile page or directly on the dashboard in the app:
Profile tab: Go to the Profile tab and tap the purple box with the green button that states “ Add a new rental”.
Or if you already have a rental on RentCheck, click the blue plus icon above your existing rental.
Renter Dashboard: Tap the blue plus icon in the bottom right corner
You’ll first see a screen prompting you to select a rental.
Choose an existing rental or tap “Add Rental” to open the setup.
From the profile page, click this button:
From the Dashboard, click either “Add Inspection” OR the blue plus button
Note: If you do not see the “Create Inspection” button, this may be because your property manager has already assigned you an inspection. To learn how to find or start an inspection sent by your property manager, [click here].
Then, fill in your rental details:
🏡Address
📍City, State, and ZIP Code
🛏️Number of bedrooms and bathrooms
Optional: If you live in an apartment, suite, or unit, include your unit number.
You can also add your move-in and lease end dates now or later — they can be updated anytime from your profile.
When you’re done, tap “Create Rental.”
📝Step 2: Choose Your Inspection Type

📸Completing Your Inspection
Follow the guided steps in the app to:
