RentCheck inspections are split into two categories, Active and Scheduled.
What makes an inspection "Scheduled"?
Any inspection with a due date beyond 14 days is categorized as “Scheduled” while any inspection with a due date within 14 days is considered “Active”. Two weeks before an inspection’s due date, an inspection will move from Scheduled to Active at which point any invites for that inspection will be sent.
Send Automatically or Request a Reminder
When scheduling an inspection, you’ll have the opportunity to choose between two options: Send Automatically or Remind Me. RentCheck can either automatically create and send the inspection to the recipient two weeks prior to the due date, or we can remind you to review and approve the inspection to be created and sent.
If you look closely at the scheduled inspections, you’ll notice the “Approved to Send” column. If an inspection is to be sent automatically, it will be marked as Approved. If you’ve not selected the automated option, it will be marked as Not Approved, meaning it is not authorized to be sent directly to the recipient. This gives you the chance to review and make sure recipient information is correct close to the due date and before it is sent. You can approve scheduled inspections directly within the dropdown menu on the list.
Finalizing Scheduled Inspections
A scheduled inspection will be processed and created when:
It is 14 days or less prior to the due date
The Approved to Send status is set to “Approved”
At least one recipient email is present or it is a self-perform inspection
An inspection will move from the Scheduled tab to the Active tab once it has been processed and gone out to the recipient.
