Inspection Status enables you and your team to determine the current progress and position of an inspection. The status provides clarity on actions that should be taken with the inspection and makes the process transparent. There are multiple statuses for both external and internal use; we hope this guide can bring clarity and confidence to you and your team.

External Inspections

External Inspections are inspections that have been requested by you or a member of your team for an external user, such as a resident or third party. Outlined below are the available Inspection Status options for External Inspections.

Scheduled

Scheduled status indicates an inspection has been created and is to be completed by a resident or third party in the future. Invitations will be sent on the ‘invite date’ set at inspection creation and can be updated if you need the invites to be sent sooner.

Not Started

Not Started status indicates the recipient has accepted the invitation request for the proposed inspection. This also means that the recipient has not yet started their inspection.

Started

Started status indicates that the recipient has accepted their inspection invite, downloaded the RentCheck app, and has made steps to begin performing their inspection.

Awaiting Review

Awaiting Review status indicates the inspection has been completed by a resident or third party. The completed inspection is now ready for review and approval by the property management team.

Revision Requested

Revision Requested status indicates that the inspection has been completed and during the review process a revision to the inspection was requested. When this status is active a Revision Request has been sent to the resident/third party directly.

Approved

Approved status indicates that the inspection has been completed and it has been reviewed and approved by a member of the property management team.

Internal Inspections

Internal inspections are inspections that have been assigned to you or your team.

Not Started

Not Started status indicates an internal inspection has been created but not yet opened or started.

Started

Started status indicates that you or a member of your team has opened the inspection and has begun working on it.

Completed

Completed status indicates the inspection was completed by yourself or an internal team member. There is no review process required to mark the inspection completed.
