Learn how you can easily compare two inspections in RentCheck.

Comparing inspections is now easier than ever with RentCheck’s Inspection Comparison tool. Users can compare before and after ratings, pictures, and notes from two inspections, all in one place! Follow this guide to learn how to compare your first set of inspections.

How to Access Inspection Comparison

  1. Go to the Properties tab.

  2. From the Units tab, click into a unit you would like to compare inspections for.

  3. In the Property details page, select “Compare inspections”.

  4. Under “+ Add Inspection”, select the first inspection. Under “+ Add Inspection 2” select the second inspection you would like to compare the first inspection against.

  5. Make a selection from the available completed inspections for that property.

  6. Click “Add to Comparison”.

  7. Make your second selection.

  8. Click “Add to Comparison".

  9. If you need to edit one of your inspection selections, select “Edit”. Otherwise, select “Compare”.

  10. A new window like the one below will appear with the comparison details.

Tips for Comparing Inspections

  1. Compare Ratings: Look at the ratings (Poor, Fair, Good) for each section/room to determine which sections need the most attention.

  2. Compare Images: Click into the image icon to see the media attached for each feature across both inspections.

  3. Compare Notes: Click into the notes icon or expand the “Details” button in order to read through any important notes left for each feature in a section/room.
