When Your Property Manager Requests a Revision

After submitting your inspection in RentCheck, your property manager reviews it to make sure all photos and details are clear and complete.

If something needs clarification or additional information, they may send a Revision Request through RentCheck.

A Revision Request gives you the opportunity to make quick updates, such as retaking a blurry photo, adding a missing room, or clarifying a note so your inspection can be approved without delay.

This process helps maintain accuracy and ensures both you and your property manager have a clear, complete record of the property’s condition.

You’ll see your inspection labeled with Revision Request in the app:

Why a Revision Request Might Be Sent

Your property manager may request a revision if they notice:

• A required photo is missing (for example, a kitchen or bathroom photo)
• A photo is unclear or doesn’t match the section it belongs to
• Additional context or notes are needed
• A question was left unanswered

When a revision is requested, you’ll also receive an email notification explaining what needs to be updated and when it’s due:

What You Need to Do as the Resident

  1. Open RentCheck.

  2. Find the inspection labeled “Revision Requested.”

  3. Tap Continue Inspection to review your property manager’s notes.

  4. Follow the prompts to retake or add photos and update any notes as requested.

  5. Once all updates are complete, tap Submit again to send your revised inspection back.
