Automated Reminders Sent from RentCheck

Learn about RentCheck’s automated emails to residents, including invitations, reminders, approvals, and revision notifications.

RentCheck automatically sends co-branded email reminders to renters throughout the inspection process. These automated messages help renters know when to start, complete, revise, or sign their inspections, keeping everyone informed without extra manual follow-up.


Types of Automated Emails

Inspection Invite (New User or Current User)

Sent two weeks before the inspection due date.

  • New Users: Receive instructions to download the RentCheck mobile app, create an account, and sync using their invite code (if needed).

  • Current Users: Are prompted to log in and complete their inspection directly.

Reminder to Accept Invite

  • Sent 7 days before the due date if the inspection hasn’t been accepted yet.

  • Encourages renters to log into the RentCheck app and start their inspection.

Inspection Due Date Updated

  • Sent when a property manager updates the inspection due date.

  • Informs renters of the new completion deadline.

Daily Reminder Emails

  • Sent daily starting 3 days before until 3 days after the inspection due date.

  • Reminds renters to complete their inspection if it hasn’t been submitted yet.

Inspection Approval

  • Sent after the inspection has been approved by the property manager.

  • Congratulates the renter and provides instructions to download their completed inspection report from the app.

Signature Requested

  • Sent after an inspection is approved and a signature is needed.

  • Prompts the renter to log in and sign the inspection report.

Inspection Review Request

  • Sent when a property manager asks the renter to review or add to an existing inspection.

  • Includes the invite code and steps to log in or download the RentCheck app.

Revision Request

  • Sent if the property manager requests edits or additional photos.

  • Includes the revision due date and a list of specific items that need to be updated.

Inspection Canceled

  • Sent when an inspection has been deleted or archived.

  • Notifies the renter that no further action is needed.


Notes for Property Managers

  • All automated emails are co-branded with both RentCheck and your company’s logo. To add your logo to your RentCheck account, use this guide.

  • Automated reminders are sent directly from RentCheck to renters.

  • Renters are directed to reach out to your listed contact email if they need extensions or have scheduling concerns. To update your contact information go to Account > Inspection Messaging > Contact information.
