RentCheck notifies tenants by email when they are invited to complete an inspection.

Inspection invitations

When an inspection is created and assigned to a tenant, RentCheck automatically sends an inspection invitation by email.

  • The invitation is sent to the tenant’s email address on file

  • By default, the email is sent immediately after the inspection is created, unless a different invite date is selected during inspection creation

  • The email includes instructions for accessing and completing the inspection

Inspection reminders

After an inspection invitation is sent, RentCheck may send reminder emails if the inspection has not yet been completed.

  • Reminders are sent automatically based on RentCheck’s reminder schedule

  • The reminder schedule cannot be customized per inspection

  • Reminders stop once the inspection is submitted

Revision requests (after submission)

If a tenant submits an inspection and additional information is needed, the property manager can send a revision request.

  • Revision requests are only sent after an inspection has been submitted

  • The tenant receives an email explaining what needs to be updated

  • The email includes instructions for reopening the inspection and adding the requested photos or information

Need help?

If you’re not seeing an inspection invitation, reminder, or revision request sent as expected, double-check the tenant’s email address on the inspection.

If everything looks correct and the notification is still missing, contact Support and include the inspection link for context.
