Understanding the “Not Applicable” or “N/A” Option During an Inspection
During an inspection, you may see a Not Applicable or N/A option for certain rooms, areas, or items. This option should be used when the requested item does not exist at the property.
For example, if you are prompted to capture photos of a fireplace but the property does not have one, you can select N/A. This allows you to continue the inspection without being required to add photos for an item that is not present.
How to Use the N/A Option
When completing an inspection, the N/A option may appear on the camera screen for a room, area, or item.
Select N/A only when the requested item or area does not exist at the property. Once selected, that section will be marked as not applicable on the inspection report.
The N/A option is not related to the functionality of your camera. If the item is present and you need to capture photos, do not select N/A. Instead, continue taking the required photos.
Using the N/A option when appropriate helps ensure the completed inspection accurately reflects the rooms, features, and items available at the property.
