Property Meld is a maintenance coordination platform for dispatching and tracking work orders with vendors and residents. When a maintenance issue comes up during a RentCheck inspection, you can create a Property Meld work order (called a Meld) right from RentCheck. RentCheck fills in as much as it can from the inspection, so you're just confirming a few details before sending it over.
Once connected, the integration handles three things automatically:
Pulls your Property Meld properties daily, ready to link when you create a Meld. We don't create new properties in RentCheck.
Looks up resident in real time while you're creating a Meld, so that they can be notified
Keeps your Meld's status updated in RentCheck as it progresses in Property Meld
What You'll Need
The Property Meld add-on added to your RentCheck plan. Head to Settings → Integrations → Property Meld and add it to your plan.
A connection request submitted through Property Meld's Nexus directory (see below). Once we receive and approve your request, our team completes the connection on our end; you don't need to do anything further after submitting it.
Connecting Property Meld to RentCheck
In Property Meld, click Nexus, then Partner Nexus.
Find the RentCheck card and click Configure.
Click Connect with this partner. You'll see your request submitted under Connection Status.
We'll receive your request on our end, review it, and reach out once your integration is connected and ready to use.
Setting Your Meld Defaults
Once you're connected, RentCheck starts pulling your properties. Now you'll set your Meld defaults: head to Settings → Integrations → Property Meld and click Meld Settings, so your go-to Meld details are pre-filled automatically every time you create a Meld.

Notify Residents: toggle on to notify residents when the Meld is created
Make Meld visible to Owners: set whether the Meld should be visible and shared with Owners.
You can update these anytime from Meld Settings on the Integrations page. Saving your changes also triggers a fresh sync of your properties.
How Your Properties Sync
Once connected, RentCheck automatically syncs your Property Meld properties once a day. This sync pulls your properties in from Property Meld and makes them available to link with a RentCheck property when you create a Meld.
Note: It does not create new units or buildings in RentCheck.
Creating a Meld From a Flagged Item
Once an issue is flagged for maintenance on a RentCheck inspection, you can send it to Property Meld in a few steps:
From the Inspection page, open your flagged items and select one or more items you'd like to dispatch. See Flagging Items for Maintenance if you haven't flagged an item before.
From the Create dropdown, select Create Meld.
Confirm the property: the first time you create a Meld for a RentCheck property, you'll match it to the corresponding Property Meld property. After that, it's remembered automatically. If the unit is occupied, you'll see who to notify. You'll also see a Visibility toggle here, letting you choose whether the Meld is visible to owners.
Map categories (if you've used RentCheck before connecting Property Meld): any flags created before you connected won't have a matching Property Meld category yet, so you'll be asked to map them to the right one. This only comes up for flags from before the integration was connected. New flags won't need this step.
Multiple flags, one Meld: flags that share a category can be bundled into a single Meld instead of creating one per item.
Review the Meld details: description, location, work type, and priority are pre-filled from your defaults, edit anything before sending.
Select Create Meld. You'll see a confirmation, and the Meld is created directly in Property Meld; no need to log in separately.
Note: On mobile, you'll be prompted to create a Meld right after the inspection is fully uploaded and has flagged items, so issues can be dispatched before you even leave the property.
Tracking Your Meld's Status
Once a Meld is created, its status stays in sync with Property Meld automatically, so you can check progress from the Work Order Details page in RentCheck without checking both systems.
Note: This integration creates Melds from RentCheck. It doesn't pull existing Melds from Property Meld into RentCheck.
