To create an inspection, follow these simple steps!
Choose an Invitation Date (if necessary)
Step 1: Start the Inspection
To create an inspection, follow these simple steps.
First, select "New Inspection" and then choose "Add Unit Inspection." This will initiate the inspection creation process.
Step 2: Select the Unit(s)
Select the specific unit or units for which you want to create the inspection. You can choose individual units or multiple units.
Step 3: Choose Inspection Type
Next, you'll need to select the appropriate inspection type. Choose from options like "Move-In" or "Move-Out" for their respective purposes.
For detailed inspections, you can select "Annual Inspection," which is often used for lease renewals. It's perfect for comparing against the ‘“Move-In” inspection to determine lease renewal eligibility.
Opt for a "Turn Inspection" if you need to ensure everything is in great condition between residents' moves.
Use "Periodic Inspections" to periodically check the unit's condition, usually on a quarterly or biannual basis.
"Maintenance Checks" are ideal for selecting specific features for inspection(air filters, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, etc), typically used for preventive maintenance items or after recent maintenance work.
Step 4: Set the Due Date and Recurrence
Define the due date for when you want the inspection results returned. You can also set a recurring schedule if needed.
Step 5: Assign the Inspection
Assign the inspection to the relevant individual. You can assign it to a resident, teammate, or yourself . If needed, manually assign it to a vendor, maintenance team, or any other 3rd Party.
Step 6: Choose an Invitation Date (if necessary)
Select an invitation date, which will trigger the first notification to the recipient. This date initiates automated notifications to inform the recipient about the inspection and how to get started.
